With regards to Wendy's post and the woman with one arm. The cross cradle
hold on the side with no arm should work well and the football hold on the
other side. I would try a pillow like My Brest Friend which stays anchored
in placd and gives some support to the arm being used. Also, if the breasts
are in need of support or shaping, try making a breast sling to go around
the woman's neck and under her breast. I have used this with very large
pendulous and heavy breasts. The sling lifts the breast and makes it less
wide. She may also benefit form using a baby sling once latching is going
better. Ann Anderson .
