I agree that your description of "pitted" skin that looks like an "orange
peel" makes one think of the classic "peau d'orange" appearance that has
been associated with inflammatory breast cancer.

However- I gather from your description that the symptoms in this case are
on both breasts and it is *exceedingly rare* for a woman to present with
simultaneous bilateral inflammatory breast cancer.  See

Therefore, while I agree that this woman should be promptly evaluated by a
physician familiar with diseases of the breast (cancerous and
noncancerous), in my opionion (if indeed the symptoms are symmetric and
bilateral) the liklihood that this is inflammatory breast cancer is
thankfully quite low.
