Any newer info on this diagnosis? Archives have some, but nothing from this
year or last. Mom of 10 day old called this morning, extremely upset,
extremely engorged.. baby girl was diagnosed yesterday with PKU and mom was told
to stop breastfeeding immediately. "Eventually" she was told, that she will
be able to breastfeed up to twice a day by the head of the pediatric metabolic
unit at a teaching hospital. She is coming to get a pump today, but
meanwhile, I want to support her with the most up to date information as she returns
to see
what the severity of her baby's condition is. Thank you for any info or for
pointing me in the right direction.
