I am not surprised by the study either. I remember reading, "Touching" by
Ashley Montague (sp) when I was pregnant with my first baby 30 yrs ago. He
believed that the skin was our largest organ and being touched effected
everything in our lives. To be touched and caressed increased our
endorphins and thus enhanced our physical, mental and emotional state.
