Hi Susan,

I, too, just received an email inviting me to list my name on this
website. I knew nothing of the site till this invitation. I looked
through much of the site, and found quite a few typos and grammatical
errors and some breastfeeding information that was incomplete, confusing,
incorrect, or that I did not agree with. For instance, in response to the
question "When should I start solid foods?" the answer is "By 4 to 6
months. Although the U.S academy of pediatrics recommends that breastfed
babies start solids at 6 months. Breast milk is the perfect food for your
baby's entire first year. Nutritionally it is complete and it continues to
enhance and develop your baby's immune system each day, so the choice as to
when to introduce solids is really yours." This answer is confusing, at
best. Under the heading "Crying at the breast," one is pointed to the
section on "Nursing Strikes" which does not speak to the myriad of other
reasons for a baby crying at the breast. There are quite a few other
answers under the "Topics" section which do not measure up, IMHO. That
said, there is a decent amount of good information also, and, obviously the
site owner is trying to offer a good service.

As your signature states, Susan, "What you permit, you promote," so I'm
going to give some thought as to whether having my name listed on the site
acts to condone the info there. Of course, an alternative would be to
offer to work with the woman who's running the site and correct the info I
find in error! :-)
