Janice;
Your question is very valid as to which studies are published and which ones
are not or take a lot longer to hit the news. It would be interesting to
know.

I have a question for the researchers online. Would anyone have a fairly
simple research format template available for use. We are looking at
studying the effect of Kangaroo Mother Care on mother and the normal
newborn. There are a number of studies already done, however not that many
that show the effect it might have on the normal newborn of mothers that
have had a lot of intervention in labour. Some of the questions we may want
to look at will be:
1. How long and how early was KMC possible after birth
2. How soon successful breastfeeding happens and exclusivisity of
breastfeeding on discharge.
3. Do we see fewer episodes of hypoglycaemia and admission to the Nursery
4. Will we see a decrease in medical or any supplementation rates.

Any other thoughts about what can be included? Of course we have to keep it
quite simple since we need a good buy in from the Nurses.
