Just wanted to let Valerie know that she is not the only LC concerned about
the IBCLE ethics issue. Your posts raises a lot of thought provoking
questions that I hope the board will consider. Surely they did not see
things the way you do when they wrote this, so perhaps our discussion here
will reach the people who can change it. I for one would hate to think that
being an IBCLC means that I am acknowledging that a formula company has the
right to patent human milk and to profit from this. UGH!! To me, this is
the height of unethical!! Please continue your thoughtful posts and let us
know if you get some response from IBCLE or if there is something that the
rest of us who agree with you in silence can do.
