I used to have this same concern in the hospital when I would tell a
mom about how a pump she had or was considering had many possible
problems and then would tell her she could buy or rent a better one
from us. I would generally point out the concerns about her pump,
tell her that I felt pump "X" would meet her needs better. Then
when I told her she could get it from us, I would also tell her she
could get it at such-and-such other stores. (Sometimes I would
mention the other stores first and then say that she could also buy
it directly from us.) I feel that diluted at least the impression
that we were trying to make money as our first motive. Most who did
decide to get the better pump would get it from us because it was
more convenient.

Winnie
