I know media outlets cannot broadcast every PSA they receive, which leads to the question, how
do they choose which ones to broadcast? Could the formula industry be exerting pressure?

I haven't kept up with lactnet over the past few months, so maybe this has been discussed, but the
question seems timely now that the media outlets have the breastfeeding ads but are not
broadcasting them. There are plenty of PSAs out there that don't threaten the profits of major
industries. I wonder if there are incentives -- financial or other -- to broadcast the more
innocuous, big-business friendly PSAs and shelve the others. The formula/pharmaceutical
industry has pulled out all the stops to block the campaign so far, who's to say they wouldn't
interfere at this stage? It could be happening in a plausibly deniable way, so it might be
impossible to prove...
