Hi,

I am one of the lurkers!!! I have learned a great deal from the list, and
love the sharing of information found here.

This morning on Good Morning America there was a segment on the release of
the ads. They showed footage of the oringinal ads, which have been
pulled. The re-done ads are suppose to be released later today (Friday,
June 4th). Dianne Sawyer also stated as this breaking news (why were the
original ads pulled???) that there would be more on 20/20 tonight.
The footage that I saw showed pregnant women (actually actresses looking
like they were pregnant) in a roller derby, with pushing shoving, and
being thrown down. The screen then cut away to a black screen with white
letter with something in lines of the following:

You would not put baby in danger before he is born
Why would you do so afterward.

Another screen comes up and states the risks of not breastfeeding increase
the risk of
Leukemia (not sure what statistic they used)
Ear infections 60%
Diabetes 40%

There was another set of photos to show risk: they had a baby bottle
nipple on a bottle of insulin, with a syringe laying beside it.

Wish that I would have been recording, so that I could tell this word for
word.
Here in Texas, 20/20 comes on at 9:00 pm on ABC.

Sincerely,
Kelli Hulsman, RN, BSN, IBCLC
