I recently had to be a patient (gall bladder removed) and had to spend a
night in the hospital. At one point I was flipping through TV channels and came
across the Newborn Channel. I watched it for an hour or so and this is what I
found very interesting. During that hour plus, there was 3 programs, the
first on breastfeeding, the others I don't remember and many commercials. Mixed
among the commercials were 3 Ad Council ones, two on obesity and another on
immunizations (I think).
Does anyone know about the Newborn Channel? Are they carrying the
Breastfeeding Ads? Is this a national controlled organization or are the ads per region?
My fear is that the Newborn Channel does not have them because they did not
run them during the breastfeeding segment. Also, doesn't the formula companies
have a big financial investment in this channel?
Moving very slowly and catching up on LACTNET.
