Thanks Karleen for your reply & info on inducing lactation. There
is so much to learn, but I am learning sooo much from you all.I am
so glad I was lucky enough to end up working in lactation & with
families.Even though at times I feel like screaming(as in when a
medical student I was trying to impart some info about breastfeeding to
,told me that breast milk didnt have any value after 6 months).
Then there are days like yesterday when a very anxious mum comes
into the early childhood centre whose baby hadnt been putting on
enough weight & leaves obviously relieved & happy after a little
TLC,encoragement & empathy(plus the usual watching the feed & info
to get her supply up,etc.)I got as much out of it as she did ,I
think.
I am finding it hard keeping up with all these digests because
I dont like deleting them unless I've read them all.Even harder
 now that I'm writing too.
It's all worth it.How many times have I said that to a mum?

I agree with you too ,about leaving mum & baby alone after birth.
If only that was always possible. If only the mothers could be
mothered while they mothered.Alot of Chinese women I come across
seem to get that from their mothers who come over for a few months.

If anyone knows how to get rid of the numbers that will probably come out
in this post can they please tell me.

Thanks
Anne
