Having been a teacher in my other life, I would think the important points about breastfeeding to bring out to first graders are as follows:

Mother's milk is the perfect makeup for each baby. Premies are different, older babies are different.
G-d, nature, whatever you want to teach knows the perfect makeup. Soup, main, and dessert are all at the breast.

What happens when you go out with your parents and are all of the sudden thirsty- They need to stop, buy you something, if they don't have exact change it may not work in a machine, etc- Ask *them* what happens. Then show what happens if a baby is thirsty- Obviously no preparation, money, etc.

Maybe something along the lines of "Did you ever go to the zoo? Did you ever see a lion give a bottle? A girraffe eat with a fork? This is natural way for humans to eat. I have a kids book called Animals Should Definately Not Act Like People, and it is cute and kind of reminds me of this- To not try to do something not natural, just what nature intended. I think 1st graders can understand that concept really well. And maybe slowly they will realize that Breastfeeding is the way it should be!
Just a few thoughts, hope it helps..
