As Jan says: "perhaps it would be helpful if part of your talk
included an explanation as to why there is so little volume the
first 48
hours after birth, and how that helps the baby make the adjustment
from the
womb to the world."
I like to say that the first few days, with low volume, are baby's
chance to get the technique mastered before the volume "kicks in".
If it came out as fast the first few dasy as it does later, they
would be overwhelmed.
Yes, how did the human race survive as long as it has if the way it
works isn't the way it's supposed to work?
