Lots of wonderful suggestions being made.  When I am giving talks I try to
figure out what pushes their buttons.  In my experience with doctors their
first aim is to correct anything that goes wrong and hypoglycaemia would be
their first concern (reinforced by the nursery nurse).  Others have
mentioned that the feed doesn't have to appear to be a good one for the
blood sugar levels to normalise - and that's true ... they don't even have
to feed at all for this to happen!
Their next imperative as Leslie suggested is "First Do No Harm".  Perhaps
you could draw their attention to the detrimental effect of formula on the
gut - articles by Lars Hansson and others would help there.
