In my experience working with moms with implants, there can be difficulty
latching when full. The fullness + implants can make the baby almost
bounce off the areola. Sometimes the silicone wont "give" enough for the
mouth to compress the areola.
I have told moms in the hospital that frequent feedings will prevent
overfullness, especially when her milk comes in, so that latching doesn't
become difficult. I remember one mom having to express some milk before
latching when full and one mom who never was able to keep the baby on the
breast as there was so much pressure against the baby's mouth. This mom
continued to pump and feed EBM.
