Unless you are using the small (PeeWee) sclae, as long as a scale
sensitive enough to weigh differences between used and clean diapers,
why not just do pre/post feeding weights on the baby?  (I know this will
probaly start a debate on whether such weights are a good idea.)  My
point is that IF you are going to weigh something on a regular basis,
pre/post on the baby will give the best indication of INTAKE.  Now if
there is concern about how baby is utilizing what it takes in, then
OUTPUT measurement would also be in order.  However, it would seem to me
that if baby needs this kind of precise monitoring, it would most likely
be in a NICU or at least be having very close medical monitoring.
