With thanks to the Lactnetter who posted Lynn Johnston, the cartoonist's, email address, I sent her a message telling her how much my husband and I have appreciated her strip over the years and how we look forward to more strips which show breastfeeding in a positive light.  

I just wanted to share with everyone a line from the lovely response I received:

"Drawing Elly as a nursing mom was an opportunity for me to relive the beauty and closeness of feeding my baby girl."

May be we can all convince Bill Keane (of the Family Circle) to "breastfeed" the next baby?:)  How about writing to the creator of "Love Is..."  I can just see it now..."Love is...nursing your baby."
