Don't think so....I have done some research into the lit. on this for
my work as a journalist, and the earlier menarche is put down to the
fact that girls these days are  taller and fatter than they were, due
to better health and more food. Once girls reach a certain size, they
start the process of sexual maturity, of which menarche is one of the
more obvious signs.

And I betcha this is straying OT for Lactnet ; )
