It wasn't only ovaltine - the following advert is from a 1909 newspaper 
"NOT BABY ONLY but baby's mother will also derive the greatest advantage from the regular use of HORLICK'S MALTED MILK It is indispensible to nursing mothers, invalids, and convalescents, and is an excellent food-tonic for everyone."
I expect there are plenty of other products aswell that may not have stood the test of time
