Remember, too, that a devotion to God and the Bible are why many, many women
breastfeed. They believe that breastfeeding is God's perfect design for
mother and baby in all areas--physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
However, I can empathize with the frustration Cathy expresses here about how
Christians sometimes inappropriately view moral chastity and extend it into
areas (such as breastfeeding) that it was not meant to go into. (As a
professing Christian myself, I feel I can lovingly speak the truth about my
own group.)

Having negative feelings about groups who try to make a statement by going
overboard (like PETA sometimes does), I was almost certain I would find
PETA's billboard ad offensive and insulting to Christians. However, I looked
at it and found it to be tender, warm, and easily within the bounds of
appropriate expression. I, for one, completely appreciated and agreed with
the sentiment presented.
