It has been suggested here and in many places that scheduling is the route
to obedience required by the three main monotheistic religions.
I feel that it is a step towards obedience to an idol, the clock and not the
obedience required in those religions which is founded in christianity at
least on love.

Incidentaly there is a wonderful reference somewhere I think in
Lamentations(Old Testament part of the Bible) saying that God's people were
so bad at that time that they were even worse than a mother who would not
comfort her crying child by suckling it.
Just found it in King James version Lam 4 vv3-4 Even the sea monsters draw
out the breast, they give suck to their young ones, the daughter of my people
has become cruel, like the ostriches in the wilderness. The tongue of the
sucking child cleaveth to the roof of his mouth for thirst..
I have found in American versions of the Bible that the many breastfeeding
references just don't seem to be there anymore, so it has probably been
difficult for Christians contributing to childcare ideas to understand how
to apply their religion to this subject.
