I agree that the sage at Thanksgiving may be only a minor factor with
all else that surrounds the day being more of a factor.  In suggesting
to a mom that sage might have affected her supply, she often will
breathe easier which in and of itself can help her milk flow more
readily.  However, we do need to talk about doing too much since
Christmas and New Years follow close behind.
While popping Altoids might be because of the other facotrs you mention,
I think in many cases moms just like the taste and they are so easy to
carry around (little tin container-doesn't break up or gather lint in
the purse like loose candies might).  Others might carry Life Savers or
packs of gum with the same usage.
