has anyone read "What a Blessing She Had Chloroform :
The Medical and Social Response to the Pain of
Childbirth from 1800 to the Present"
by Donald Caton?  I wonder about how useful it is for
perspective in the drugged babies discussion.  Sandra
Steingraber mentioned it in "Having Faith" as a
history as percieved by the anesthesiologist
apologists.
