My heart goes out to your mom who wants to convince her baby to take a
bottle, this baby sounds exactly like my little guy who did the same
thing.  He wanted it from the breast and did not like bottles.  He would
eventually begrudgingly take the bottle some times (my guess is when the
hunger pains got too bad), but at 6 months when solids were started he
never took another bottle, he went to firm straws that he could suck juice
out of and solids when he was away from me and the breast when we are
together.  I don't think he suffered any long term damage emotionally or
otherwise because we never forced just offered.  Now that  he is 4 I think
that was our first glimpse of the strong willed personality that he had.
