Fiona mentioned the water contamination in Walkerton, Ontario a year ago. There have since been numerous incidents throughout Canada, including the city of North Battleford, Saskatchewan, Canada. And I believe quite a number of smaller towns in my province were under "boil water" advisories last year, due to more thorough testing. My husband attended a seminar on water safety, and many farm wells have contamination problems. I remember my sister was told not to allow her babies to drink their farm water as it had too many nitrates. That was 20 years ago - I wonder how many mothers are warned about checking the safety of their drinking water today?
