I've been amazed at the large amount of personal emails I've gotten from
Lactnetters telling me about their diarrhea episodes while nursing, mostly
in the early days. Since they're not posting about it to the list, I
thought I'd fill you in.
One woman (an anonymous thank you!) mentioned she also had this problem
with her periods. This clicked with me. I hadn't made the connection
before. I used to have diarrhea just before my period started, then I read
about this being a common problem. The prevention was large doses of
ibuprofen at the very first hint of a problem. Wonder if this might work
with your client, Winnie?
Marita (no longer having ANY desire to discuss this ;) If you had this
problem, you don't need to send me a personal email about it! Although it
did give me a sense of the scope of the problem - thanks for writing.)
