I would also respectfully disagree with expanding the
term “breastfeeding” to include pumping mother’s milk
& feeding it to baby in a bottle.
Huge efforts of time and money have gone into the
international discussion of the word “breastfeeding”
in order for the word to include the relationship
between mother and child, as well as the act. N-----
et al would like nothing better than for us to break
the breast from the feeding either by reverting to
“breast feeding” or “breast-feeding” or by using
“breastfeeding” to mean breast milk delivery by breast
or bottle.
I agree with Gonneke who wrote:
“I really think naming things is important. What's in
a name? I think the name makes it to what it is.”
Language is thought.
