Has anyone seen the excellent Canadian t.v. series called "Birth
Stories?"  We get it on the Discovery Channel here.  The programs show
real families in Toronto from all different backrounds - single mom,
former crack addict, yuppy, 42 year old first time mom, diabetic,
pre-eclampsia etc.  Although it appears that the hospitals are just as
interventive and quick with the pitocin as they are here, I was really
impressed that nearly all the moms were breastfeeding.  Last night,
there was discussion between a diabetic 3rd time mom and her doctor
about the advantages of bf and sugar control.  Great viewing!
