Hello all,
I hope you can help me.
In Virginia Carnation just won the WIC bid for formula, first time
ever...... this may be my big chance to promote baby friendly hospital .....
The pediatricians are not so happy about this .....My nurse manager asked me
to find out a few answers.
I will compile the answers and report to you what I fond out.
Please reply if your hospital purchases formula.
1. Where are you located?
2. When did your hospital start purchasing formula?
3. Why did your hospital start purchasing formula?
4. Do you charge the baby for the formula?
If yes : How ? I.e. - per serving or raise the nursery charge per
day to compensate for it or ???
5. Does insurance pay for the formula if billed to the account?
6. If you do not charge the baby for the formula , why not?
7. Any other info you think may be helpful to me in this project of getting
baby friendly.
THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Cindy
