while i do tend to sleep most nights, most of the night in this "nest"
position, i have woken on occasion with my back turned to my daughter.
perhaps at 14 months it's not quite the same as when teeny-tiny either?

she has just started tummy-sleeping in the past month, & i figure again
at 14 months she's probably "big enough to make the decision herself", &
likely past the "dangerous age" (especially since if she were in a crib
away from me she could still tummy sleep now that she can roll over
fine). perhaps the 2 are somehow linked (turning away from baby briefly
& baby eventually choosing his/her own sleep position)?
