I'm not clear on why avoiding dairy/beef should make a difference to breastfeeding initiation.  There are various ways of eating a balanced and nutritious diet that doesn't incorporate these foods.  Perhaps you mean *willynilly* avoidances, where people just stop eating specific foods and don't get proper advice on nutrition?
