Regardless of what may or may not have been said by Ruth at any of her talks, she does discuss the use of herbs in her textbook, "Breastfeeding - A Guide for the Medical Profession, 5th Ed." on pages 371-377.  You might want to read this text and be able to use it as a definative reference regarding Dr. Lawrence's views on this subject.
