Midwives in the UK only stopped 'offering' the nursery to new mothers
when nurseries stopped existing....some older hospitals still have
them, but most are now converted into useful store areas, office
space  etc!

I honestly don't think practice would have changed otherwise.

I think it's the only way to ensure rooming in.

After all, bottle feeding babies need to be near their mothers, too.
