>"HealthSCOUT Reporter A study of 119 infant deaths in the St. Louis area
reveals that >almost half of the deaths happened when the babies slept
with their mothers, fathers, >siblings or babysitters, the researchers say.

So one could infer that more than half of the babies died while sleeping
alone. So sleeping with someone would decrease their risk, no? It seems to
me that making the sleep environment as safe as possible (re waterbeds,
heavy blankets, headboards, etc) is the way to go, as opposed to not
co-sleeping. Scare tactics just bug the heck out of me.
