Alice,
How did the first baby grow? I see this all of the time with babies that
plateau at about this age and weight seems to be the only important indicator
of health to many HCP's. I would not suggest giving butter to an eight-month
old, but flax oil to the mom and baby might be helpful, *if help is needed*.
After all, this baby did grow 3 1/2 inches in 2 months! Don't we all see this
frequently---babies chunk up, then they get tall and thin out and do it all
over again? My 3 babies weighed 19, 20 and 21 lbs at one year and walked at
8, 9 and 10 mos respectively. They were all fat babies at 6 mos. Has this
baby become more active/interested in the world, etc. Is the mother
concerned?
