"A multifaceted program, including allergen control measures, appears to
have achieved moderate success in preventing asthma in high-risk infants,
according to an international group of researchers.
... they sought to determine whether interventions could prevent the
appearance of asthma symptoms in infants with a family history of asthma or
other IgE-mediated allergic diseases...

Additional measures included asking mothers to breastfeed for at least 4
months and not to give the infants cow's milk, seafood or peanuts during the
first year of life."
