Please do not under any circumstances assume I do not understand/sympathize
with those who suffer depression. I have very clear memories of my mother
suffering through involutional psychosis when no one was willing to admit
there was a problem...
In fact, I keep warning my husband to PLEASE be aware and recognize this
when/if it happens to me as I approach menopause, as my father was in total
denial, and I was in the US in college and unaware/uninformed...
My point was that there is Depression, Post Partum Depression, and other
mental/physical/life altering situations.
I find that if a woman has recently delivered a baby, it is all lumped into
PPD, when other treatments and assistance may be more appropriate.
