Please help ASAP. I am a hosp. based LC. We have a mom laboring as I
type. In several days-weeks she is to have a breast biopsy. The surgeon
has given orders that she may not breastfed on the breast to be
biopsied. Obviously this mass is of concern, but is it necessary to not
allow lactation on the affected side. Mom has been told by the surgeon
that she will develop mastitis in the breast but will be treated with
antibiotics??? Please e-mail me privately and if there is any info. in
print that I could show the surgeon that would be of help. Thanks, Dawn
