Chris Clark wrestled with a keyboard and this emerged:
> checked with another family practice doc who"specializes in psych"

Harumph! What strange new sort of beast is this? My family's
experience with psychiatric medications has convinced me that one
should not dabble in the neurotransmitting arts. Individual
reactions to the psych medications and the interactions between them
can vary so widely that you really need to see someone who does psych
work only. Not to mention the difficulty of separating one disorder
from another, figuring out co-morbidities, etc. It's like an
electrican saying he specializes in microprocessors. ;-)

As for what to do now that the Drs have brushed off concerns, present
the mom with all the information you have and assist her with any
other resources she needs to make her own decision.

regards
Beth
