de-lurking for the first time in ages - Kathy, would you be kind enough to
provide a reference for WHO's continued support of 4-6 months for
introduction of solids?

And who are you suggesting we e-mail; does s/he formulate WHO policy in this
area?

Readers who are interested in the European situation might like to look at
http://www.who.dk/nutrition/infant.htm Here you will see that WHO Europe
are talking about exclusive bf till around 6 months and 'timely introduction
of appropriate weaning foods would significantly decrease these high rates.'
The high rates being infant mortality. WHO Europe includes the former
Soviet countries as well as those countries which might spring to mind.
