Moms who do want to give cereals but not cows' milk or formula, could try the
old fashioned types (just plain rice or oat flour) that have to be cooked to
thicken. In my experience that will work fine and my children liked the taste of
cooked vs instant better. Ofcourse cooking will destroy several nutrients in the
milk, so it is no option for more than an occasional meal.
