If I recall, this study, done in Cincinnati, states that with full exposure
of the baby in summer (just diaper), 30 minutes a week of sunlight will give
adequate vitamin D levels. With just face showing in winter 90 minutes.
Remember though, babies get most of their vitamin D in utero from the
mother, and like iron, they get adequate stores for several months. Only if
the mother is vitamin D deficient is there a concern for the baby's stores.
