curious/question: do they use the same flange and tubing with the "awful"
pump as they do with the hospital grade pump?

<<Why are these excellent hospital grade machines not extracting the milk?>>

it could be the flange in relation to sinuses, try adjusting the flange
postion or use the flange insert piece. check pump suction with a guage.
