Dear Jeanette, I agree.  It's one of those "you have to be there to
understand" kind of things.  You were using them as an experienced
practitioner, the problem is too often they are used indiscriminately by
any nurse on the pp floor.  I  used to  keep them locked in my locker :-)
so indiscriminate use  wasn't a problem, but then the nurses would just use
a bottle nipple if I wasn't around  :-(    Necessity is the mother of
